The Takeout Taxi brand, established in the early 1990's, is the largest and best-known national name in the Restaurant Delivery Service industry.

On July 20, 2004, a veteran group of successful Takeout Taxi operators became founding members of the newly formed Brand Solutions, LLC, which in turn purchased the trademarks and other key assets from their now-defunct franchisor. Each of the 15 current members was then licensed by Brand Solutions, LLC to use the Takeout Taxi trademarks and other key assets in their individually owned and operated Takeout Taxi territories. These current members of Brand Solutions, LLC have continuously operated Takeout Taxi Restaurant Delivery Services in 18 major markets across the nation since the early 1990's:

According to the NPD Group, a Port Washington, N.Y. research firm, Takeout and Delivery orders have increased 6% in the last year and make up 10% of the overall volume at casual-dining restaurants. With key national Restaurant Partners such as California Pizza Kitchen, Chevy's, Chili's, Damon's, Hamburger Hamlet, Romano's Macaroni Grill and T.G.I.
